We are now in the middle stages of planning
this year's run. We have a charity, the St. Christopher's Foundation for
Children, in support of the C.O.R.E Palliative Care Team at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in
Philadelphia. Our route, which is tentative, will begin in Quakertown, PA, loop
up and around the Finger Lakes and ends in Hopewell, NJ. Forms will be released
soon. Further details on the 2015 ABRR will be released as they become
We have some exciting changes planned for
this ABRR. Since teams have historically had difficulty finishing the run in
time to drive home, we're planning to run the route over three days, beginning
at mid day on Friday and ending about mid day on Sunday. This will give us two
short driving days Friday and Sunday, and one long day on Saturday. The
traditional Kickoff Party will be held until the end of the run and become a
Farewell Luncheon at which time we'll hand out awards.
Also, we are planning on adding a new,
competitive twist on the ABRR. You will still be able to run the route in the
original "follow the leader" caravan format is that's your thing, but for the
hardcore motorheads, you will also be able to run the route as a TSD "Tech
Rally" with DIY controls and timing kept on your smart phone or tablet Rally
Computer App. Everyone will run the same route, and we'll all meet up at
the same preplanned stopping points. More on this as planning progresses.
Total Raised - $0, but we're just getting started!
